I try and make my shows as much about the audience as I can becuase it's not about me, it's about the guests experience at the venue I am performing at. In between songs I have bag of gimmicks to interact with including song trivia, audience member games, audience members roles and more. I try to keep my banter in the moment of my audience and steer the over all topic to "about nothing". Talking about something could lead trouble and nothing is funnier then the truth, in my humble opinion. I run a live webcast with chat while I perform. My wife and friends are usually in the chat to moderate. Persons at the venue can send anybody to the live webcast with chat and I do get random people in there. Persons at venue can dedicate a song live or request a shout out to anyone at home. I utilize persons in chat to prompt me with more info on whatever nothing topic I'm on. If person in chat is a friend of someone at the venue I ask them to prompt me with info to "roast" there friend at venue. Using the internet live on stage is an aspect of my show under constant development, I never know what's going to happen. |
