Real-Life One-Man Band, Marc Dobson walking 120 miles to the 2021 Florida State Fair!
The Walk – April 13 thru 22, 2021
through Cocoa, St. Cloud, Kissimmee, Davenport, Haines City, Lake Alfred, Lakeland, Plant City, Seffner, and Tampa.
Walk with Marc or wave as he goes by:
- Apr 13 – 10am – Cocoa Village for 0.5 miles at 2 MPH – Walk the start of “The Walk” with Marc from Lee Warner Park to Time Out Sports Bar.
- Apr 13 – 11am – Cocoa – Wave as Marc goes by Cocoa City Hall and Time Out and have lunch at Time Out with Marc.
- Apr 16 – 9am – St. Cloud/Kissimmee for 7 miles at 2.5 to 3 MPH – Walk any part of the Florida Trail with Marc from St Cloud Police Department to past Brinson Park in Kissimmee.
- Apr 18 – 2pm estimate – Lake Mirror, Lakeland for 1/2 or 1 1/2 miles at 2.5 to 3 MPH – Walk around Lake Mirror with Marc.
- Apr 19 – 2pm estimate – Plant City – Wave or walk with Marc past the Florida Strawberry Festival on SR574.
- Apr 22 – 9:30am – Florida State Fairgrounds Gate 1 – Wave at or cheer Marc on as he completes the 120 mile journey starting from the SR301 entrance archway to Gate 1 of the Fair.

- Celebrating getting back to work Marc is walking from his home in Cocoa to perform 11 days at the Florida State Fair in Tampa.
- The 120+ mile journey will set the record for the longest distance ever performed by a standing one man band. Marc will be playing guitar and with every step remote trigger a drum hit on a backpack drum kit. Marc will use both his main backpack drum kit and mini drum kit through sections in “the middle of nowhere.”
- The public is invited to walk with Marc through sections of Cocoa, Kissimmee, Lakeland and at the end into the Florida State Fairgrounds a day before opening.
- Fundraising proceeds will go to the non-profit Entertainers Foundation, Inc. which assists Central Florida Entertainers through hardship and tragedy.
Marc has spent 30+ years entertaining. Over the past 10 he’s become a sought after grounds act at fairs and festivals across North America and a One Man Band mimicked by others from around the world. The show is an impressive performance playing 9.1 instruments at once along with improv comedy.
